High School Enrichment Begins!
Each of our high school teams spends one day per week at Enrichment - a mandatory 30-minute study hall before practice. Players spend their time at Enrichment catching up or getting ahead on assignments, preparing their post-high school plans, studying for tests, or even reviewing rugby film and preparing for upcoming games.
Jay Uiberall Leadership Series Kickoff!
We are kicking off the Jay Uiberall Leadership Series for 2026-2027! This workshop series is open to select high school student-athletes, developing them into leaders through workshops throughout the year, focusing on communication, emotional awareness, community engagement, and other related skills and topics.

Partner School Lunch Visits Begin
As our partner schools start their first week of the Fall 2026 semester, MICR Pathway Coaches are also starting their lunch visits for the semester - visiting each school weekly or biweekly during lunch periods to talk to current and prospective players, checking in on academics and well-being and building the rugby community at school.

MICR Scholarship Interviews
The Memphis Inner City Rugby (MICR) scholarship will advance educational opportunities for MICR alumni by reducing the financial gap needed to pursue advanced educational opportunities. This scholarship opportunity is a reality thanks to the hard work and sacrifice made by MICR student-athletes, coaches, staff, board of directors, and supporters- past and present.
All interviews for scholarship finalists will take place on Tuesday, June 23rd between 5-8pm.

Field Planting Day!
Memphis Inner City Rugby (MICR) is hosting a volunteer planting day to help prepare our new rugby field ahead of its grand opening in late June. We’re looking for volunteers to join us for a morning of outdoor service as we dig, prep, and get the space ready for shrubs and small trees.
Volunteers will assist with:
Digging planting holes
Preparing soil and planting areas
Placing shrubs and small trees
General field beautification and light outdoor work
No prior experience is necessary — just a willingness to help and work outdoors. This is a great opportunity to support a space that will serve students and the broader community for years to come.
What to Bring
Closed-toe shoes
Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
Water bottle
Work gloves (optional, if you have them)

State Championship!
The state championship takes place in Nashville. PCA High School boys have qualified, and Soulsville High School Girls are playing in the semifinals on Saturday, April 25th to determine whether they will qualify.

(Senior Celebration!) Soulsville vs White Station High School Boys
This game will also include a celebration of the graduating class in the Soulsville High School Boys! The senior ceremony will be at 10:30, with the game kickoff at 11am.
